Chocolate and Butterscotch Baklava

1 package frozen phyllo dough, thawed 3 cubes butter, melted 16 oz nuts (almonds and pistachios) 1 package semisweet chocolate chips 1 package butterscotch chips 2 cups shredded coconut   SYRUP: 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 cup honey   Butter your baking pan. Unroll one package of phyllo dough; cut stack into a rectangle that fits your pan. Line bottom of prepared pan with two sheets of phyllo dough (sheets will overlap slightly). Brush with butter. Repeat layers 8 times. (Keep dough covered with a damp towel until ready to use to prevent it from drying out.) It does not have to be perfect! In a blender combine the nuts and chocolate/butterscotch chips. Sprinkle 2 cups over top layer of phyllo. Top with four layers phyllo dough, buttering each layer. Top with 2 or more cups nut mixture. Top with four layers phyllo dough, buttering each layer; top with remaining nut mixture. Top with the remaining phyllo dough, brushing each layer with butter. Drizzle any remaining butter over top. Grilled Doughnuts with Balsamic and Strawberry reduction

Happy National Doughnut Day! These babies were the dessert at my party and everyone ate them up! Grill or Broil Glazed Doughnuts Fill the hole with custard (I bought some at a local bakery) or mascarpone cheese is good too. Drizzle on warm balsamic strawberry sauce and serve. Sauce- On a stovetop combine: 1 part Balsamic glaze 1 part brown sugar Lemon zest Dash of lemon juice Once sauce is combined, add strawberries and warm through.

Root Beer Float Popsicles

There are so many great things about Instagram and making new friends (in real life) is one of them! Thanks for the shout out @gparrish I’m amazed by your creativity, photography, and amazing Mama skills. What’s so great is that we all have different talents and get to share them with the people we love. Now, onto Root Beer Float Pops Fill your Popsicle mold 1/3 full of melted vanilla ice cream. Freeze for a couple of hours. After ice cream freezes, fill with Root Beer and top with one more scoop of ice cream. Freeze overnight! ETC. Use your favorite soda or juice and your favorite ice cream or sorbet. Mix and match! My favorite Popsicle mold is the Norpro Ice Pop Maker sold on Amazon
