Reflections from the Faith Matters Conference
This weekend at the Faith Matters Restore Conference was unforgettable. Thousands of us gathered at UVU with an expansive view of Jesus - worshipping, belonging, and leaning into what it means to be peacemakers.
Initially it felt daunting driving up after the heartbreak of recent weeks. But as @arthurcbrooks reminded me backstage and as he spoke, maybe this is exactly when we need to come together- in the hard times, when the ache is fresh. To share in collective effervescence, to focus on Christ and His light, and to remember that all are welcome.
And then, within hours of closing, the world shifted again with President Nelson’s passing and the tragedy in Michigan. These moments remind us that living as peacemakers isn’t just a conference theme it’s a way of being the world urgently needs.
I left with awe, gratitude, and a renewed desire to live these practices every single day. 🙏🏼
