Thoughts During a Hard Week
I haven’t stopped sobbing.
But the tears tonight are different.
They’re the kind that come from walking back into my room after a long day and realizing how many people showed up. Friends who land on porches. Friends who show up when my daughter has knee surgery. Friends who show up for me. Friends who show up for each other.
Neighbors. Church members. Relief Society sisters. Real relief. The kind you can feel in your chest and in the pit of your stomach.
Life is hard and traumatic and trying and also wildly beautiful.
And I’m crying because people are just so darn good.
What a gift to be loved like that.
And what a gift to be the kind of person who shows up for those we love.
God is Good and I feel God through each of you 🙏🏼
