Happy 4th of July! Saving your part of the world.

This Fourth of July 🇺🇸
Before the fireworks.
Before the BBQ.
Before the red, white, and blue outfits…

Let’s take a moment to stop and ask ourselves:

What part of my world can I help save?
Not the whole world.
Not the entire state or even the whole city.
Just my corner. My neighborhood. My block. My school. My people.

When things feel confusing, unsettling, infuriating, or unfair—when it feels like screaming into the void or staying silent are the only options—I believe there’s a third way:

Act. Locally. Lovingly. Boldly.

🌈 Upset about LGBTQ+ rights? Hang a pride flag on your porch. Wear a pin to church. Show your kids what love and inclusion look like. Follow @liftandloveorg @encircletogether @papa_ostler

🤝 Heartbroken over the treatment of immigrants? Volunteer with or donate to Latinos in Action, Ella Rises, or other incredible orgs supporting Hispanic communities. @latinosinaction_official @ellarises @guadcenter

🎒 Concerned about refugee families losing support? Support a local drive for backpacks, hygiene kits, or school supplies. Text a few friends. Do it together. We’ll be working with @serverefugees this month! @ccsut @ircsaltlakecity

🗳️ Frustrated by politics and polarization? Sign up to help register voters. Run a book club around civic engagement. Educate yourself and your kids. Follow along on @thedignityindex @mormonweg

You don’t have to be a politician or public speaker.
You don’t have to go viral or start a nonprofit.
You just have to show up.

This Fourth of July, let’s celebrate the freedom we have to be part of the solution.

Because this is patriotism too.

XOXO
