Shema - the call that moves you.

There’s a Hebrew word in the Old Testament that keeps calling me higher.

“Shema” is usually translated as “hear.” But it’s not passive listening. It means hear, understand, and respond. Action is built into the word. It means, “The call that moves you.”

Shema is a Hebrew word from Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel.”

Scripture treats true hearing as action. If I truly shema, I move.

So yes, God calls us to Himself. Always.
But He also calls us to live like we’ve heard Him.

Women, this matters. You are not meant to be a passive receiver. You are a responsive disciple. Listening that becomes lived. You are called to something specific today. In your home, your work, your friendships, your community.

A conversation you need to have
A person you need to forgive
A boundary you need to set
A habit you need to break
A gift you need to use
A quiet nudge toward service you need to follow.

Ask yourself:

What is God asking me to do next? Who am I being prompted to love well? What am I being asked to release? Where do I need courage and obedience?

What is God asking you to do next?
Not someday. Today.

Choose one step. One faithful action in the next 24 hours.
