“You keep feeding the families, I’ll keep feeding the souls.”
Rome during the Jubilee feels like a celebration of connection, faith, and hope. And somehow our time with Jelly Roll summed it all up perfectly.
As we parted ways, he said: “You keep feeding the families, I’ll keep feeding the souls.”
He may have been talking about Traeger and his music, but the truth in his words stopped me. Feeding families—around our table, across communities, in our state and even in small ways in the world—that’s the work we love. And Jelly Roll, feeding souls with music and hope—it’s the same work, just in a different language.
Sharing a meal, sharing a song, sharing our lives—this is what saves us. We don’t have to feed everyone, but we each have to do our best to try. ❤️
